We're looking for a dependable and detail-focused Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in Tampa Bay.
In this role, you'll handle the company's outgoing payments, making sure invoices, expense reports, and bills are processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, precise, and has a good grasp of accounting basics.

$55,000 - $60,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation
  • Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist with month-end closing and accruals
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and invoices
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve issues

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a shared services or high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of 3-way matching and ERP systems
  • Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls
